Recent Apps, for easy visual multitasking

Redesigned keyboard

Users can touch-hold keys to access menus of special characters and switch text/voice input modes from a button in the System Bar.

Improved text selection, copy and paste

When entering or viewing text, a new user interface lets users quickly select a word by press-hold and then adjust the selection area as needed by dragging a set of bounding arrows to new positions. Users can then select an action from the Action Bar, such as copy to the clipboard, share, paste, web search, or find.

I debated for many months over which tablet to purchase and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I use the tablet on a daily basis including for my calender, contacts and taking notes in my college classes. The included programs such as Polaris Office, the File Manager, and the note taking program have been very effective and easy to use. There was a slight adjustment going from MS Office to Polaris but overall a smooth transition.

I had no problem linking to my Gmail account and calender and it is so nice to have that all syncing. I have had no problem transferring documents between my laptop and my tablet.

I love this tablet. It's the coolest thing I've bought myself in years. Other tablets are nice for reading and web surfing, but when it comes to typing, they get cramped.

I go to college, and one class has the textbook, lecture notes, and homework online. I need something with the battery life of a Netbook, but without having to wait for apps to load. The Slider wakes up when I slide it open and connects to the network before I'm even in the room. I can download the Power Point presentation for the day as fast as the network allows, open it with Polaris Office, included, and save my notes to Asus web storage. After class I had a question on the homework and my teacher wanted to see the problem. I didn't have to login on the class computer, I just showed her the tablet. With a slide out keyboard I can take notes, use a spreadsheet, and research topics discussed during class like a notebook computer but without the awkwardness and short battery life.

This is what I had been waiting for....a tablet that works for fun as well as work. The display is beautiful. The slide out keyboard is awesome for keyboard-intense activities. For casual surfing, the on screen keyboard works great. I love the USB port- makes this unique and so perfect for accessing large files or transferring data back and forth. I am so happy with this purchase....no need to carry a laptop again. Angry Birds has never looked better. Netflix streams beautifully and has great audio too. For the best of both work and play, this is your tablet!
