4.0 out of 5 stars An Inexpensive Android Tablet Ooption--More than a Toy!, August 30, 2011
This review is from: Skytex Primer Pocket 4.3" Multi-touch Android 2.2 Media Tablet (Electronics)
I took a flyer and ordered this product not sure whether it was just a toy or was a truly multi-functional device. The first challenge was to figure out how navigate the screen landscape. Using my finger proved to be frustrating. So after an hour or two I was ready to send it back.

The following day, I switched to a stylus, which overcame the hit-or-miss experience of navigating the resistive screen. While not exactly on par capacitive screens, it was a tremendous improvement and more than merely tolerable.

The audio and video output soften truck me as really good, considering the device's specs. My experience with wifi at hot sites was also very good. In fact, it was better than my cell phone. No problems were detected with the G-sensor or the microSD card slot. The buttons or levers for on/off, men, back, and volume took a few minutes to get accustomed to, but once learned they were very functional. (Anyone who has used the Archos 400 and higher line... 5.0 out of 5 stars Good handy tablet at a great price, September 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Skytex Primer Pocket 4.3" Multi-touch Android 2.2 Media Tablet (Electronics)
I have used it for a couple of days and it is a good product at a great price. I bought this for my daughter. It is light weight, very basic functions but everything you'll need in your day to day life. You can listen to music, videos, browse the web to your hearts content, watch youtube, email and social networking. The touch feature is slightly hard, but hey I didn't expect to work like high end tablets which cost 3 or 4 times more. The picture quality is better than my HTC HD7. My HTC HD7 does not play videos from most sites including CNN, BBC, but this product which cost much less does. Sound quality is acceptable. Works great with WIFI and very fast.

4.0 out of 5 stars Skytex Primer Pocket - Low Cost Pocketable Device, September 7, 2011
This review is from: Skytex Primer Pocket 4.3" Multi-touch Android 2.2 Media Tablet (Electronics)
I recently owned a Nook Color and ported gingerbread to it. The nook was amazing but a little too cumbersome. Was looking for something that I could watch movies on, stream video, check mail and surf. This little device meets all of those requirements in a satisfactory manner. By no means is this a monster of a tablet, but it gets the job done. As mentioned in another review there is no official market access nor any official google apps. Not a deal breaker for me since doing a simple search will return the apk of any app your would like to run. I did have some issues installing some apps though, namely grooveIP (great app for calls) and opera mini (best browser in my opinion). I chalked it up to missing official google components. I found an alternative browser called xscope that seems to run better than the stock browser. To sum it up, if you are looking for an inexpensive way to be entertained then you cannot go wrong with this little device
