It never charges. Battery dies right away. It never works. Dies right in the middle of a song and the screen will go dead and music is still playing. I order one had to send it back. Ordered another one and did the same thing. I cannot believe they come up with something like this for $400. Next time make sure it works properly. I found the game to be very educational, and great for her self esteem. My daughter had started with another tablet device, and would be easily frustrated because she couldnt complete tasks by herself. This was not a problem with the Vinci. The games are exactly the right pace for my four year old. She will often have a big belly laugh at something in the games. She can play by herself, but I find if I am with her I get tons of "why questions" , and I can assist in her learning. If I compare to the device to others I would say its graphics are more appropriate for a four year old, it's easier to use, and much more educational because its so much fun. On the down side, there needs to be more games (would like to see the World game finished), lower price, and a way to include some learning about world languages when visiting countries. I gave it a four overall because of the enjoyment my daughter has when she plays and for its... He still enjoys kindergarten or so level games, but has never really gotten into video games. He's at a much younger functional age, maybe 4 to 6 depending on category. I wanted something he could play videos and look at pictures on, and hopefully something that would have some games that would capture his interest. That has been hard to find. The developers of the software for this tablet have really done a great job on the games, storybooks and videos that come pre-loaded on this tablet. Not a lot catches my son's interest but the baby character seems to intrigue him, the soothing lullabies entertain him and help him wind down for bed. There are only a few stories but he does like them. This is apparently a very new product so I'm sure it will only get better. I had a few issues getting the PC software to recognize the device, but the support team went way above and beyond to help me get it going so I couldn't be happier... Read more |
